‘Austral’ (meaning ‘southern’) has been created as an abstract representation of the Australian Bush through the concentrated use of the colours green and gold that are widely recognised in sporting arenas around the world as being traditionally Aussie.
 
A dark green velvet has been used as the base material to achieve a sense of the Australian bush with the sparkle of the sun symbolised by an overset of unusual gold edged green braiding heavily embellished with rhinestones as central feature. The separation and arrangement of the braiding’s fern-like flares has been augmented by the addition of vine-like scrolls and floral accents - the latter enhanced with dual-coloured teardrop rhinestones.
 
The edges of ‘Austral’ are trimmed with deconstructed Indian-sourced braid and the eyes highlighted with gold cording and miniature pale green rhinestones.
