Carrying the title of ‘Chatoyer’ (French for ‘shimmer’ &/or ‘sparkle’) the base of this mask has been covered with the reverse side of a double-sided tinsel brocade fabric which has been overlaid with a centrepiece created from deconstructed and re-embellished vintage jewellery centred within a cutaway piece of reimagined and embellished stage costumery.
 
Indian rhinestone braiding - underscored with braided scalloping, half pearl beading and translucent AB rainbow beading and rhinestones - provides a sparkling outline to the “crown” with sprays of silver rhinestone leaves atop each peak. The back of the mask is lightly padded for additional comfort and covered with the front side of the base material and Velcro straps provide a strong and secure fastening.
