Masque titled “Rayo de Sol” (Spanish for ‘sunbeam’) started to take shape using the jersey as the basis for the plethora of deconstructed gold braid which I used to provide the upper edging. Very heavily embossed with pearl beading, gold-toned Swarovski elements and gold and silver miniature rhinestones, the braid has been taken up to frame the eye-catching reconstructed pearl centrepiece which echoes the vintage piece used for masque “Starburst”.
 
A tiny bluebird has been perched atop the centrepiece to add an unusual visual interest and a heavily glittered floral spray under which is suspended a delicate chain of rhinestones.
 
"Rayo de Sol" is a one-off unique creation and comes with signed and dated certification detailing its unique catalogue number which serves as verification of artistic authenticity.
