Process:- Woodcut printing is a relief printing process where an artist carves a design into a wood block, leaving the areas to be printed raised while cutting away the negative space.
The raised surface is then inked with a roller and paper is pressed against it to transfer the image. The process is done either by hand or with a press, and the final print appears as a reversed image of the original block.
About :- "Seeking thirst in the woods" by Artist Piu Dutta, TATVA, Guwahati, Assam, India.
An undesirable sensation one seeks to quench. This suggests the search is not for a physical need, but a deeper, possibly abstract one. This is about discovering the fundamental desires. It is a quest for self - discovery where the journey with challenges is more important than the final destination.
It speaks to the universal human search for fulfilment and meaning.
